As an instructor with Sharp Shooter Foto, I get to witness something incredible—watching young photographers discover nature, build confidence, and use their cameras to tell powerful stories about conservation.
In this upcoming workshop, we’re inviting students ages 10 to 18 to dive into the world of nature photography—learning not just how to take a photo but how to use that photo to make an impact.
We’ll divide the workshop into five distinct meetings, beginning in August 2025 and continuing through December 2025. The last session will be a weekend photography camp, giving students a chance to immerse themselves in nature and practice their skills in the field.
Each meeting includes:
Friendly class instruction
Creative conservation/photography assignments
All sessions will be held at the various location in South Texas to help you get a good variety of images and experiances.
But the course is more than just learning camera settings—it’s about connecting with nature on a deeper level. We call it ART-THERAPY.
Spending time outside has proven benefits for mental health: reduced stress, boosted mood, and improved self-esteem. Add the purpose and creativity of photography, and it becomes a powerful tool for personal growth.
What makes Sharp Shooter Foto special is our focus on conservation storytelling. Students will work on real conservation-themed projects, using their images to highlight wildlife, landscapes, and the importance of protecting them. They’ll learn how to tell stories that matter—and how to use their voice through the lens.
Don’t have gear? We’ve got you covered.
Are you concerned about the cost? Scholarships are available. Look below for details.
We’re not just building photographers—we’re building the next generation of conservationists.
Join us for a journey that’s wild, inspiring, and unforgettable.
All classes will teach students the basics, fundamentals, editing, and composition of photography.
