Help Our Young Photographers Earn Their Wings
Sharp Shooter Foto is launching a new youth achievement program called Flight School Bands—a fun, aviation-inspired way to help students master essential photography skills while building confidence, creativity, and pride in their progress.
Students can earn six individual bands as they demonstrate skills in:
Aperture • Shutter Speed • Leading Lines • Rule of Thirds • Symmetry • Negative Space
After earning all six, they qualify for the Sharp Shooter Top Shot Challenge, where they submit one of their best photographs for evaluation using a youth-friendly version of the Professional Photographers of America’s 12 Elements of a Merit Image.
We are seeking to raise $1,000 to cover the cost of producing the Flight School Bands and Top Shot achievement bands for the young photographers participating in our program.
These bands are more than bracelets. Each one represents a skill learned, a goal reached, and another step forward in a student’s photography journey.

Help Send Young Photographers to Caddo Lake
For many young people, a trip like this would never be possible without community support.
Your donation helps send six youth, ages 9–17, to the Caddo Lake Photography Summer Camp in June 2027. Surrounded by cypress trees, water lilies, birds, and wildlife, they will have the opportunity to explore nature, learn real photography skills, and experience a place unlike anywhere else.
Every gift helps cover the essential costs of the trip, including:
Transportation, lodging, meals, boat rentals, photography instruction, and hands-on mentoring.
During the camp, students will practice composition, camera settings, wildlife photography, and visual storytelling. They will photograph from the water, document their experiences, and learn how to select and curate their strongest images.
But this trip is about more than taking pictures.
It is about building confidence, encouraging creativity, developing patience, and helping young people see the world—and themselves—differently.
A camera gives them a reason to slow down, pay attention, and discover the beauty around them. The photographs they create will become memories they can carry for a lifetime.
