A Weekend to Remember: Photography Fun at the Rob & Bessie Welder Wildlife Foundation
This past weekend, we had the pleasure of hosting an incredible photography workshop at the Rob & Bessie Welder Wildlife Foundation. A heartfelt thank you to the foundation for their warm hospitality! We were also thrilled to be supported by Skylum, the creators of Luminar Neo, who sent their Director of Education, Vanelli, to join us for the Sharp Shooter Foto Youth Workshop in Texas.
The weekend was filled with excitement as kids and parents alike dived into the world of wildlife photography and birdwatching. Witnessing the joy and enthusiasm in their eyes made the four-day sleepover event truly rewarding. Your support for youth in photography is making a significant impact, and we are grateful to Skylum for inspiring the next generation of photographers!
Iām Vanelli, and I had an absolute blast working with Angie Birmingham and her Sharp Shooters youth group! I flew in just in time for Skylum's Luminar Coffee Break on Wednesday, before heading into a lecture with Angie's adult group that evening. Bright and early on Thursday, we kicked off the adventure with the kids.
Envision spending four days at a picturesque Texas ranch, completely engrossed in the capture of wildlife and birds. When we weren't out in the field snapping photos, we gathered to edit our shots as a group, all while mixing in plenty of fun, laughter, and even a spirited prank war where I met my match with the kids!
This energetic atmosphere was just what I needed. A huge shout-out to my Skylum team and our CEO, Ivan Kutanin, for their unwavering support in nurturing the next generation of photographers through initiatives like the Sharp Shooters youth Foto group. It's truly inspiring to see such dedication to empowering young talent!
Thank you once again to everyone involved for making this weekend unforgettable. Together, we're shaping the future of photography, one click at a time!
